Contraception clinics and advice

The University Health Centre offers dedicated contraception and sexual health clinics on the following days during term time:

Monday afternoon
Tuesday morning
Thursday afternoon
Friday afternoon

The service is nurse led and run by Christine Walters.  It is a comprehensive service that offers flexibility by providing appointments throughout the week.

Contraception Services Available at the Health Centre

Long acting reversible contraception methods (as recommended by NICE)

• Depo Provera - contraceptive injection
• Implanon - contraceptive implant
• IUD - commonly known as the "coil"
• IUS - coil with hormones added

Also

• Oral contraception
• Condoms
• Emergency contraception
