Flu Clinics

All people aged 65 and over qualify for the free annual seasonal flu jab.  Pregnant women also qualify from September 2010.

In addition, adults and children aged six months to 65 years with the following conditions should also contact us to arrange their free seasonal flu jab:

• heart disease
• asthma, COPD
• kidney disease
• lowered immunity due to disease or treatment (such as steroid medication; cancer treatment or those who have had a splenectomy)
• liver disease
• stroke or a transient ischaemic attack (TIA)
• diabetes
• neurological condition e.g. multiple sclerosis (MS) or cerebral palsy

The 2010 seasonal flu vaccine will also include the human Swine Flu antigen.

We are now able to start booking people in to clinics at our surgeries.  Please contact the reception desk at each site if you would like to make an appointment.  The clinics available are as follows:

Hull Road:

Wednesday 22 September - 1:30pm to 5:30pm
Wednesday 29 September - 1:30pm to 5:30pm

Wenlock Terrace:

Thursday 30 September - 1:30pm to 5:30pm

University Health Centre (for those registered at the Health Centre ONLY):

Tuesday 19 October - 2:00pm to 5:30pm
