The NHS, City of York Council and Sure Start Childrens Centres, now provide a drop-in service for parents and carers who have concerns about their childrens speech and language development.
The drop-in sessions are run by Speech and Language Therapists who will chat to you about your concerns. The service is run as an open session where other children and parents may be present, so please be prepared to answer questions about your childs general development.
At the end of the session you may be given advice and support, asked to attend future sessions or even given an appointment for further assessment with a local Speech and Language Therapist.
