Emergency Contraception

Appointments for emergency contraception following unprotected sexual intercourse (up to 72 hours previously) are available every day.

Please make an appointment as soon as possible as efficacy reduces the longer the delay.

Emergency contraception is also available at the Family Planning Clinic in Monkgate, York or at the Walk In Clinic in Monkgate and at local pharmacies (where it is free to under 19 year olds). A list of local pharmacies offering this service is available at The Health Centre.
