Welcome to Dr. Price & Partners' Student Section
Welcome to the Students section of our website. Here you will find information on how to register with the practice, where our surgeries and local pharmacies can be found, and how to request a repeat prescription or tell us you have moved.
In this section you will also find some general health information which has been translated into Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Greek and Urdu to make it more easily accessible to the foreign students who attend York University.
How to use the National Health Service
You will need to register with a family doctor (also know as a General Practitioner) as soon as possible. You can see someone at your GP's surgery about all health matters except dental problems (for this you will require a dentist).
Your GP can arrange for you to see specialists at the hospital if this is appropriate - you will not be able to see a specialist without seeing a GP first.
You can register with us or get details of local pharmacies.
Our Team
We have a team of receptionists at each site to help you. Please help them if they ask you for more information - it is to assist the doctor to assess your needs.
If you have difficulties with the service please contact our Reception Services Manager, Kirsty Holliday at the University Health Centre or you can contact the Practice Manager, Mrs Brenda Mumby, at the University Health Centre..
We have a team of nurses who are trained to deal with many minor illnesses and can also offer contraceptive advice, asthma checks, blood pressure checks, diabetic checks, travel advice, routine immunisation and general health advice. Some of our nurses are able to prescribe many medications themselves, all of our nurses follow practice protocols that allow them to organise some prescriptions through your doctor.
